Window Tint Origins

Have you ever wondered "what's all the talk around Ceramic Window Tint." There's a reason it's so popular, especially here in Sarasota Florida. When window tint was created, there was one option, dyed tint. This gave you the dark window look that we all know and love, but thats about all the benefits it had. The big problem was that is wasn't rejecting any heat.

Carbon Tint Is Created

People were burning up in there cars and there wasnt much you could do about it. This was a problem that had to be fixed. Over the years carbon tint was developed and used carbon particles to reject heat which worked pretty good. These carbon films were blocking around 40% of heat and also brought something new to the table. Carbon films wouldn't fade or change color over time. This is because they did not use dye to get there color, the color was now coming from the carbon particles themselves. Unlike dyed tint, Carbon tint also didn't interfere with any radio signals, sensors, bluetooth, or anything like that. While carbon tint was a good option, it didnt take long for them to make something better.

Ceramic Tint

More recently it was discovered that ceramic particles did exceptional at blocking heat, and ceramic tint was created. Ceramic Tint is superior for a few reasons. First off, high end ceramic films are capable of rejection around 80% of heat which is amazing for the hot florida weather. Ceramic films also arent using dye to get there color so you never have to worry about your tint fading or changing colors. Lastly, Ceramic Tint has the ability to not interfere with radio waves, bluetooth, wifi, or any sensors/cameras.

The main difference between gloss and matte paint protection film lies in appearance and maintenance. Gloss PPF maintains your car's original shine and reflective finish, making colors pop and providing that showroom look. Matte PPF creates a flat, non-reflective surface with a contemporary, subdued appearance. Both offer identical protection against chips, scratches, and UV damage, but gloss films show dirt and fingerprints more easily while matte films require specific cleaning products to avoid streaking.
